Why are some books showing 0 pages after import?

The file you imported had no page count for those books, and Book Tracker couldn’t find one from the ISBN.

Why it happens

  • Some apps don’t export page counts. The StoryGraph is one.
  • Some apps write how far you are instead of a page count. Bookmory sometimes writes a percentage like 100.00%, which isn’t a page count and is left out.
  • The book has no ISBN, or no online source knows its page count.
  • For Another App, the Pages column wasn’t matched on the What’s in Your File screen.

When Book Tracker does find the page count online, it also updates the readings of that book, so a finished book doesn’t stay at 0 of 0 pages.

A book with 0 pages works fine, but you can’t track reading progress in pages until it has a page count.

How to fix it

For one book:

  1. Open the book, tap Edit, and enter the page count.
  2. If the book already has a reading status with 0 pages, delete that status (long press → Delete) and add a new one.

For many books:

  1. Add the page counts, or the ISBNs, to your file.
  2. Import it again. Book Tracker recognizes the books you already have.
  3. On the review screen, choose Fill in what is missing. Only empty details are filled in, page counts included. Nothing you have written changes.

A book that had no ISBN in your library isn’t recognized by the new ISBN: it’s flagged as Looks like a book you already have. Choose Fill in what is missing on that row, or it comes in as a new book.
