Yes. Book Tracker Pro supports Apple’s Family Sharing on both iOS/iPadOS and macOS. One purchase covers everyone in your Family Sharing group (up to 5 family members) at no extra cost.
How it works
- Set up Family Sharing on Apple if you haven’t already — Apple’s guide.
- Whoever purchases Book Tracker Pro must have Purchase Sharing turned on (Settings → your name → Family Sharing → Purchase Sharing).
- The other family members will see Book Tracker Pro as already purchased when they download the app on their devices using their own Apple ID.
This works for both the iOS/iPadOS purchase and the macOS purchase. They’re separate Family Sharing entitlements, so a family member who wants Book Tracker on both platforms is covered automatically when you buy each.
What family members get
Each family member uses Book Tracker with their own Apple ID and their own library. Family Sharing only shares the purchase, not the data. This means:
- Their library, reading statuses, notes, and statistics are completely separate from yours.
- iCloud sync works on their Apple ID, not on yours.
- You can’t see each other’s reading data, which is the right outcome for privacy.
