How do I move my library to another device or Apple ID?

If you’re switching devices or Apple IDs, you can move your entire Book Tracker library using backups.

Move your library with a backup

  1. On your old device, open Settings > Backup & Restore.
  2. Create a manual backup.
  3. Long press the backup file and select Share.
  4. Send it via AirDrop, Mail, or a cloud service.
  5. On the new device, go to Settings > Backup & Restore > Select file.
  6. Choose the backup and restore it.

⚠️ Restoring a backup replaces your current library, so make sure to save a copy first if you want to keep the data already on the new device.

What about my Pro purchase?

  • If you’re keeping the same Apple ID, your Pro purchase will unlock automatically.
  • If you’re switching to a new Apple ID, you have two options:
    1. Apple Family Sharing – share your purchase with the new account (how to set up Family Sharing).
    2. Transfer purchases between Apple IDs – Apple now allows you to move eligible purchases to another Apple ID by following this official guide: Transfer your purchases to a different Apple ID.
