Can I add Kindle books to Book Tracker?

Yes, you can add Kindle books (or any eBooks you own) to your Book Tracker library. The app does not connect directly to Amazon Kindle, but you can manually add your Kindle titles and manage them just like any other book.

How to add a Kindle book

  1. Search online by title or ISBN
    • Open Book Tracker.
    • Tap + → Search online.
    • Enter the book title or ISBN and select the correct edition.
    • When you add a book, Book Tracker automatically assigns the default format (set in the app settings).
    • To change it, open the book detail page, tap Edit, and in the Format field select eBook.

  1. Add manually
    • Tap + → Manually insert.
    • Enter the book’s details (title, author, publisher, etc.).
    • Set the Format to eBook.

Tracking Kindle reading progress

  • Once added, you can manage Kindle books like any other in Book Tracker.
  • Create a Reading Status and choose how you want to log progress:
    • Percentage → useful if you follow the Kindle app’s % indicator.
    • Pages → if you know the total page count.
    • Time → if you’re tracking an audiobook edition linked to your Kindle book.

Best practices

  • If you want to distinguish Kindle books from other eBooks, add a Tag (e.g., “Kindle”) for easy filtering.
  • Notes and quotes should be added manually if you want to save highlights from your Kindle app.

âś… Book Tracker doesn’t sync directly with Kindle, but by marking your Kindle books as eBooks (and optionally tagging them), you can keep your digital and physical library organized in one place.
